OKA Factory Leather Punch Board

These punch boards are crafted by a factory specializing in leathercraft tools, with every detail designed specifically for leatherworking. These boards deliver the perfect surface for clean, precise work.

Their carefully balanced, optimal hardness keeps your tools safe from damage. It works much like a wooden cutting board protects a kitchen knife, keeping the blade from taking damage.

The boards also feature a unique grainy texture that's gentle on your tools while providing a non-slip surface that grips your leather securely. They're designed to prevent deformation and raised bumps when using diamond hole punches and other tools, helping protect your leather from scratches or marks.

They feature an impressive 30 mm (1.18") thickness, much thicker than standard boards, which provides added stability for diamond hole punches, reduces noise during striking, and minimizes rebound thanks to the board's weight. The thickness also allows it to be used as a cutting base for dies, such as with a hand press. (Note: the Small size is 20 mm / 0.79" thick.)

Note: Avoid pressing the chisel too deep into the board, as this can cause the blade tip to break.

Both sides of the board can be used, doubling its lifespan. A worn surface can be flattened again with a roller, or restored using a sheet of parchment paper and a household clothes iron.
