Product SpecificationsTOKO leather edge burnishing gum is made from premium natural ingredients: natural seaweed glue, carnauba wax, and water-based resin, the same high-quality materials often found in cosmetics and pharmaceuticals. Each ingredient brings unique benefits to this exceptional burnishing compound.
Natural carnauba wax gives leather a beautiful sheen and a smooth texture. Natural seaweed glue forms a strong, flexible film on leather edges, keeping them smooth. The seaweed glue (derived from wakame and kelp) also gives the product a slightly stretchy texture, making it easy to spread thinly and evenly for excellent coverage and better value per square foot. One 3.4 oz container covers approximately 6.5–8.5 square feet.
TOKO burnishing gum has a thick, firm consistency that prevents it from dripping, even along leather edges, allowing for clean application without staining the leather’s grain side. Thanks to its natural ingredients, it’s completely odorless. It can be used on different types of leather, including vegetable-tanned, combination-tanned, and chrome-tanned leathers.
Tip: Apply a thin coat. Let it dry until semi-dry, then polish for a smooth, glossy finish.
Note: For leather crafting only. Do not ingest. Avoid contact with eyes and mouth. Keep away from children. Store in a cool, dark place. May become unusable if exposed to freezing temperatures.
